Although there are many lift chairs on the market, most are made by people who don’t know what it’s like to sit in them on a daily basis. After putting hundreds of lift chairs to the test, we discovered that most were uncomfortable and did little to improve a person’s quality of life.

We decided to make the ultimate lift chair. One that combines craft and ingenuity with safety and comfort. We worked with doctors, engineers, pain specialists, and tailors to see how we could make our lift chairs as innovative and as health-focused as possible.

After 7 years of research and development, we finally did it. We finally created a lift chair that not only looks good in the home and feels great when using it, but one that also promotes health and wellness in the body. Because our chairs are especially helpful for those struggling with diseases commonly treated by rheumatologists—such as osteoarthritis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic back pain, tendinitis,and lupus—we decided to call our finished line the Rheumatologist Series™.

Because we design our lift chairs from scratch, we decided to use the best materials available. After years of research, we decided to use a steel frame for the chair's interior. Most lift chairs on the market can only support a weight capacity of up to 350 lbs. Our lift chairs can support up to 400 lbs and have a seat width of up to 22 inches. We also use high-quality polyurethane leather, which allows our chairs to be easier to clean and maintain over time. Even better, the chair's synthetic leather uses fewer resources to make, which helps sustain the environment. Our entry-level lift chairs, the Rheumatologist 4, comes with 3 builtin reclining options: Sleep, Recline, and Lifted, which you can fine-tune or adjust to your preference. Our other lift chair models, like the Rheumatologist 8, come with up to 8 different preset options: Sleep, Recline, Lounge, TV, Zero Gravity, Extra-Lift, Work, and Trendelenburg. You can choose from each of these programmed options or customize them further to find the most comfortable and relaxing reclining position for you. No matter which lift chair model you choose, our engineers work hard to make sure you can sit for as long and as comfortably as you want.

Because lower back pain is one of the most common problems that our customers experience, we prioritized finding a way to alleviate their pain. After over 30 designs, we finally developed the most innovative lumbar support system on the planet. We call it our Ultra Lumbar Support System. Both of these areas on the chair conveniently operate independently and can be adjusted to any ideal position with the included remote. This enables users to easily find the ideal angles that are both comfortable and relieve pressure from the back, hips, and knees. Your neck and shoulders will always be in the perfect position for reading or watching TV, sleeping, and/or relaxing in Zero Gravity as you toggle your controls to your desired fit.
